Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Schedule:
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Work Hours: Sunday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM / Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Position Overview

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescription orders for pharmacist review and ensuring timely delivery of medications to patients. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask across multiple computer systems, and a commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve medications from inventory and stock locations for prescription fulfillment
  • Count, package, and prepare prescription orders for final pharmacist verification
  • Process and fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with packing and shipping completed prescription orders to patients
  • Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units
  • Replenish workstation supplies, including vials, caps, labels, and other pharmacy materials
  • Remove outdated or expired products from inventory and shelves
  • Assist with inventory replenishment and stock organization
  • Maintain appropriate par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items
  • Utilize multiple computer systems to process prescriptions and document activities
  • Provide customer service support, including occasional outbound calls to patients regarding orders or shipment inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to accurately perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
  • NJ state Pharmacy Tech License is required - Active

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience
  • Experience in prescription fulfillment, mail-order pharmacy, or healthcare operations
  • Knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and dispensing processes
