Licensed Pharmacy Technician – Night Shift
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- Every other weekend: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Mandatory overtime as business needs require
Pay Rate:$23.00-$24.00
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Licensed Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations by preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision. This role plays a key part in medication fulfillment, inventory support, and maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, prepare, label, and scan prescription orders for pharmacist verification
- Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently while meeting productivity expectations
- Pull medications from shelving, prepack racks, and designated storage locations
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy validation
- Notify the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan properly
- Assist with processing returned medications and recycle/dispose according to procedures
- Support medication prepacking activities during lower-volume periods
- Package pharmacy materials and products manually for shipment and distribution
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and replenish inventory and supplies as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and all applicable government and company regulations
- Adhere to department standards related to attendance, safety, and dress code
- Support additional operational duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment at a moderate speed
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must possess and maintain an active and clear Pharmacy Technician license where required (not required in NYS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Experience working in medication fulfillment, production, or pharmacy operations preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently throughout the shift
- Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed
- Frequent use of hands and finger dexterity for handling medications and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Visual ability to read fine print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
- Ability to hear normal conversational speech and workplace sounds
