Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, provide high-quality patient care, and assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, therapeutic activities, and other skilled interventions within the PTA scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Accurately document treatment sessions in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and office staff to ensure excellent patient care.
Follow all clinic policies, state practice act requirements, Medicare guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state PTA license in good standing.
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the rehabilitation team.
Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Preferred Skills
Experience treating orthopedic and balance disorders.
Familiarity with EMR documentation.
Positive attitude and strong patient-service skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.
