Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, provide high-quality patient care, and assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, therapeutic activities, and other skilled interventions within the PTA scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatment sessions in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and office staff to ensure excellent patient care.
• Follow all clinic policies, state practice act requirements, Medicare guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state PTA license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the rehabilitation team.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Preferred Skills

• Experience treating orthopedic and balance disorders.
• Familiarity with EMR documentation.
• Positive attitude and strong patient-service skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.
