Job Description

Student Health Services provides medical care and supports campus health initiatives. The department delivers outpatient clinical services and coordinates care in collaboration with campus partners and licensed health professionals. Work in the department includes clinical operations, appointment coordination, and health-service support.

This is a clinic position for a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Provides nursing care through administration of therapeutic and personal needs to select acute and chronic patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or healthcare provider.

  • Assists in the preparation of materials, information, etc. as assigned
  • Performs standard assignments and responsibilities
  • Assists with basic/routine screenings, examinations, and assessments
  • Uses existing procedures and or direction to solve standard problems and/or correct standard, routine issues
  • Performs patient care duties following department policy, established protocol and standards of care, or as directed by a Registered Nurse or healthcare provider
  • Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet established deadlines
  • Communicates basic information to others, escalating questions to more senior team members
  • Begins to build working relationship with internal parties; regularly works with immediate team

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of an approved practical nursing program and licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) as a LPN within the state of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

Current Missouri LPN license in good standing. Missouri licenses LPNs through the Missouri State Board of Nursing

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $24-$28 per hour

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
