Responsibilities:A Licensed Practical Nurse, Acute Care Dialysis is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to individuals who are receiving dialysis treatment for kidney disease under the supervision of the Dialysis Nurse Supervisor and Charge RN. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, documenting patient information and providing patient education. The LPN must be knowledgeable in the operation of the dialysis equipment and must follow infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients. The LPN must
have excellent communication skills. They function as part of the interdisciplinary team and serve as a resource for other teams members.
