A leading multispecialty healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse to join its Brooklyn clinical team. This position supports physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting while providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities
Record vital signs, patient demographics, medications, allergies, and diagnoses in the electronic medical record
Monitor physician inbox messages and prioritize assigned clinical tasks
Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for appointments
Clean, prepare, and stock examination rooms
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
Provide patient education regarding medications, disease management, home treatments, and dietary instructions
Prepare and administer injections and medications under physician orders
Follow the five rights of medication administration and accurately document all medications provided
Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
Conduct point-of-care testing and EKGs
Monitor medical inventory and order supplies as needed
Qualifications
Active New York State LPN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Previous experience in a medical office or outpatient clinical environment preferred
Experience using electronic medical record systems
Phlebotomy, injection, medication administration, and EKG experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and consistent professional conduct
Reliable transportation and flexibility to assist at other locations when necessary
Ability to complete required background and drug screenings
