" Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
" Schedule: Monday Friday (3 shifts/week)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering basic nursing care, supporting patient treatment plans, and assisting Registered Nurses and physicians in a clinical setting. This role involves administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
The LPN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient recovery and maintain a safe and effective care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assessment
" Assist in assessing patient physical, psychosocial, and educational needs
" Support development and implementation of patient care plans
" Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN
Clinical & Medication Support
" Administer medications as prescribed
" Assist with treatments and patient care procedures
" Support telemetry monitoring and patient observation
Monitoring & Documentation
" Monitor and record patient conditions
" Document patient information accurately in EMR (Epic preferred)
" Communicate patient status changes to RN and care team
Care Coordination & Education
" Assist in discharge planning and patient education
" Support patient/family learning needs
" Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Compliance & Professional Standards
" Follow HIPAA and hospital policies
" Participate in training, meetings, and process improvement initiatives
" Maintain professional growth and competency
Must-Have Qualifications
" Active LPN License (State of Iowa or Compact)
" BLS Certification (Required)
" Minimum 1+ year of LPN experience
" Experience with medication administration and patient care
" Basic knowledge of telemetry monitoring
" Ability to work night shifts
Preferred Qualifications
" Experience with Epic EMR system
" Previous travel LPN experience
" Experience in acute care or hospital settings
