Licensed Practical Nurse – Corrections
Location: La Grange, KY
Rate: Up to $1,500.00 Gross Weekly + benefits available from day 1
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend
Contract: 13-Week Contract | Local & Travel Accepted
Hours: 36 per week
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Active, unencumbered Kentucky LPN license
- Must be willing to work in a correctional facility environment
Certifications:
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments under RN supervision
- Assist with patient assessments and care in the health care unit and housing units
- Perform controlled substance counts each shift with proper documentation
- Obtain EKGs and collect lab specimens as ordered
- Respond to medical emergencies and facility codes per protocol
- Assist with minor medical procedures as needed
- Document nursing care using SOAP charting
- Follow established safety, infection control, and correctional facility protocols
