Licensed Practical Nurse- Per Diem

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse for immediate placement in our Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Cranberry Township, PA. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in general diagnostic, and special procedures, cardiac catheterization; experience in IR and Cath Lab is a plus.

The Licensed Practical Nurse will perform patient care activities under the supervision of an RN and/or physician. Gather pre-treatment patient data, monitor patient and medications during procedures, maintain prescription drug logs, and provide assistance to the clinical team during pre- and post-procedure activities. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in procedure room preparation; maintain sterile techniques in the procedure room; assist with pre-and post-procedures including assessment of discharge
  • Provide ongoing patient information to the interventionist and clinical team during procedures to deliver vascular access care to the patient including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, aldrete score, pain status. May monitor patient vitals (HR, BP, O2Sat, EKG) during procedures (as allowed per state license).
  • Assist in recovery room patient care following vascular access procedures
  • Gather patient clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history
  • Serve as surgical technologist during procedures as necessary
  • Communicate with dialysis facilities to monitor post-care as directed by Center Manager
  • Participate in access center community education programs

Experience:

Licensed Practical Nurse : 2 years (Preferred)

Scrub: 1 year (Preferred)
