Job Description
A health services network in Virginia is seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a mid-shift role in Hampton, specializing in crisis prevention and stabilization in a residential setting for adults with mental health and behavioral issues.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Afternoons / Evenings
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (with rotating weekends)
- Hours: 1pm to 11pm (30-minute break)
- Setting: Crisis Therapeutic Home / Residential setting
Responsibilities:
- Conducting nursing assessments for residents
- Implementing service plans and care management
- Providing health care training and supervision
- Ensuring proper medication administration
- Participating as an active member of the interdisciplinary team
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Developmentally Disabled individuals
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program
- VA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with Psychiatric or Behavioral Healthcare
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Solid assessment and documentations skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Psychiatric or Behavioral Healthcare
- State Hospital & Acute Care experience
- Familiarity with Crisis Intervention
