Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of: • Case finding • Health teaching • Health counseling • Provision of supportive and restorative care • Administering medications • Providing nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health care provider.
LPN shall be responsible for: • Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision • Supervising certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel • Providing supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services.
