Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Adult Outpatient ServicesAnnual Salary: $52,278 + $3,000 Sign-On BonusSchedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PMLocation: Hampton, Virginia | Full-TimeMake a Difference Every DayJoin the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) as a full-time LPN in our Adult Comprehensive Outpatient Services program.As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide nursing support to adults experiencing mental health and substance use challenges while working alongside psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, psychologists, and other professionals.What We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.At least one year of experience administering medications in a psychiatric, substance use treatment, or long-term care setting.Experience with the dispensing and administration of controlled/narcotic medications.What You'll DoAs an LPN, you will provide essential nursing support while helping to ensure clients receive safe, compassionate, and quality care. Responsibilities include:Assist the staff psychiatrist and treatment team with medication management.Administer and document medications in accordance with established policies and procedures.Conduct health screenings and nursing assessments.Monitor clients for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in health status.Provide health education and supportive nursing interventions.Communicate important health and medication information to members of the treatment team.Maintain accurate and timely medical and nursing documentation.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized treatment goals.Provide respectful, person-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.Why Join H-NNCSB?At H-NNCSB, your work has a direct impact on the individuals and families we serve.
