Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), provides nursing care in support of the treatment plans. Assists with treatments and procedures and carries out selected interventions within the framework of the established care plan. Performs additional duties related to clinic operations under direction of RN.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate from an LPN Program

Experience:

Preferred experience as hyperbaric tech, but willing to train a new hire that meets the job requirements

Experience in a patient care setting

Operational safety of hyperbaric equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Competence in nursing and technical skills.
  • Ability to follow directions during an emergency.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment consistent with area of practice.
  • Demonstrates dependability by adhering to work schedules.
  • Functions effectively when priorities change.
  • Perform basic Mathematics
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate or provide care with diverse populations.
  • Ability to lift and move patients, stretchers and equipment.

Ability to spend prolonged periods of time walking and/or standing.

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

  • Current LPN license in the state of Connecticut

Basic CPR certification

Language Skills:

Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
