At Good Shepherd Community Clinic, we believe care is more than a single visit.

We exist so that the working poor and others who lack access to healthcare can receive quality care and better health outcomes. Our vision is simple and bold: to show the world what care should feel like.

At GSCC, care is not rushed, fragmented, or transactional. It is built on Connection and Ownership. That means we work as a team, follow through on what patients need, and take responsibility for outcomes that extend far beyond the exam room.

The Heart of This Role

The LPN Operations role is about making care work.

This role ensures that the day-to-day operations of the clinic run smoothly so patients receive reliable, coordinated, and continuous care. The LPN Ops keeps the care team aligned, prepared, and supported so providers and RN Care Managers can focus on clinical decision-making and care coordination.

This is not a task-based floor role.
It is an operational leadership role within the care team.

When this role is done well, patients experience consistency, care teams experience clarity, and problems are solved before they disrupt care.

What This Role Looks Like, Day to Day

In this role, connection means:

You understand how clinic flow, staffing, and preparation directly impact patient safety and experience.
You keep the care team aligned so visits, follow-ups, and handoffs happen smoothly.
You work closely with the RN Care Manager to support patient care
You serve as a steady, reliable point of support for Medical Assistants and clinical support staff.

Ownership means:

You take responsibility for operational issues within your assigned care team.
You supervise and support Medical Assistants, setting clear expectations and providing coaching when needed.
You address clinic flow, staffing, rooming, supply, and task issues without unnecessary escalation.
You manage follow-up tasks and workflows so patients do not fall through the cracks.

How This Role Supports Care

For patients, this role ensures care feels reliable, organized, and respectful of their time and safety.
For care teams, it creates clarity, consistency, and shared ownership of patient panels.
For the organization, it supports continuity of care and strengthens long-term patient relationships across sites.

Who Thrives Here

This role is a strong fit for an LPN who:
  • Enjoys organizing systems and solving operational problems
  • Takes pride in keeping teams prepared and aligned
  • Is comfortable supervising and supporting Medical Assistants
  • Thinks ahead and follows through
  • Believes care should be coordinated, not chaotic
  • Wants to lead from within the care team

Qualifications
  • Current Oklahoma LPN license is required.
  • Experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and support clinical support staff.
  • Commitment to team-based care and shared ownership of outcomes.
LPN Sign-On Bonus Opportunity
Eligible newly hired LPNs may receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments: $500 following successful hire and onboarding, and an additional $500 after 6 months of continuous employment in good standing. Employees must remain actively employed and meet performance expectations through each payout date to qualify. Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and withholdings. GSCC reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program based on organizational needs.
