    Employment Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time/PRN]

    Schedule

    • TBD
    • Some weekends and holidays may be required
    • Flexibility to assist with additional shifts based on patient-care and staffing needs is preferred

    Spring Grove Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team.

    We provide residential treatment services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and related behavioral health needs. Our approach is individualized, holistic, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, hope, and the opportunity to build a healthier future.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide nursing care in accordance with provider orders, established policies, professional standards, and the LPN scope of practice
    • Monitor patients and help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and supportive treatment environment
    • Conduct nursing observations and assessments within the LPN scope of practice
    • Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, symptoms, medication responses, and changes in patient condition
    • Promptly communicate changes in a patient's physical, behavioral, or mental-health status to the appropriate RN, physician, nurse practitioner, or other authorized provider
    • Administer medications and treatments according to authorized provider orders and applicable medication-administration procedures
    • Maintain accurate medication-administration records and clinical documentation
    • Monitor medication inventory and assist with the secure storage, counting, and documentation of controlled substances
    • Help prevent medication diversion, loss, theft, misuse, or unauthorized access
    • Obtain and process laboratory orders and specimens as authorized and within the LPN scope of practice
    • Review and communicate laboratory information to the appropriate licensed provider in accordance with established procedures
    • Assist with patient admissions, screenings, transfers, and discharges within the LPN scope of practice
    • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies, behavioral-health crises, overdoses, and other urgent patient-care situations
    • Initiate emergency procedures, provide first response, and contact emergency medical services or licensed providers when necessary
    • Carry out and document provider orders accurately and promptly
    • Educate patients regarding medications, treatment expectations, health concerns, and recovery-support practices within the LPN scope of practice
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Spring Grove Recovery policies
    • Participate in shift reports, treatment-team communication, staff meetings, training, quality-improvement activities, and required committees
    • Provide direction or task delegation to qualified support staff when permitted by law, facility policy, and the employee's scope of practice
    • Serve as the designated on-duty clinical resource when assigned and appropriately qualified
    • Report safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, medication errors, incidents, and policy violations through established procedures
    • Maintain professional boundaries and communicate respectfully with patients, families, coworkers, providers, and outside agencies
    • Perform other duties consistent with the position's qualifications and legal scope of practice

    Required Qualifications

    • Completion of an approved practical nursing education program
    • Current, active, and unrestricted Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse license, or eligibility to obtain one before beginning employment
    • Current CPR/BLS certification from an approved provider
    • Ability to complete required First Aid, crisis-prevention, medication-administration, and facility-specific training
    • Ability to communicate clearly and document accurately
    • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental-health concerns, and behavioral challenges
    • Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends or holidays when scheduled
    • Authorization to work in the United States

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Two or more years of nursing experience
    • Experience in substance use disorder treatment, detoxification, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, residential treatment, or a related healthcare environment
    • Experience administering medications and monitoring patients for withdrawal symptoms or changes in medical condition
    • Experience using electronic health records and medication-administration systems
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, when relevant to the assigned position

    Physical Requirements

    The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position may require the employee to:

    • Remain standing or walking for extended periods
    • Bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the facility
    • Occasionally lift, move, or assist with up to 50 pounds
    • Respond promptly to patient emergencies
    • Safely perform assigned nursing and medication-administration responsibilities
