Licensed Practical Nurse – Corrections Location: Central City, KY Rate: Up to $1500.00 Gross Weekly + benefits available from day 1 Shift: Both 12-Hour Days or Nights available Contract: 13-Week Contract | Local & Travel Accepted Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience
Active, unencumbered LPN license in KY
Must be willing to work in a correctional facility environment
Certifications:
AHA BLS
Responsibilities:
Medication administration and pass under RN supervision
Assist RN with patient assessments and care in health care unit and housing units
Perform controlled substance counts each shift with proper documentation
Obtain EKGs and lab specimens as ordered
Respond to medical emergencies and codes per facility protocol
Assist with minor procedures as needed
Document nursing care using SOAP charting
Follow established safety, infection control, and correctional facility protocols
