Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Pay Range: $52.60hr - $57.60hr

Job Overview:

Support employee health and safety through first aid, injury response, occupational testing, and health education in an industrial meatpacking environment. This contract role works second shift (Monday to Friday, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.) alongside another nurse under approved medical directives and clinical supervision, following approximately two weeks of day-shift training.

• Work second shift (Monday to Friday, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.) with overtime required based on operational needs, following approximately two weeks of day-shift training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and care for employee illnesses and workplace injuries under standing orders and approved directives.
• Support outside medical referrals, work restrictions, and return to work coordination.
• Conduct hearing tests and support drug and alcohol screening programs.
• Maintain confidential health records and support OSHA required documentation.
• Support employee wellness, safety, and ergonomic education, escalating complex concerns as needed.

Qualification:

• LPN: Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program with a certificate or diploma; OR RN: Graduate of an approved nursing program with a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree.
• Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license authorizing practice in the state of employment.
• No prior related work experience required (on-the-job training provided).
• Ability to work required shift schedule, including required overtime and occasional Saturdays, with comfort working in an industrial meatpacking environment.
