Licensed Practical Nurse LPN- Emergency Department

Overview:

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN

Location: Lewiston, Maine 

Department:Emergency Department

Shifts Available: Days & Nights 

Pay: up to $953.28 - $1,339.20 gross per week

Assignment Length: 12 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year ED experience required.

Pay Transparency:

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $26.48 to $37.20. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
