Description
A residential services organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in Manhattan, New York. This role provides clinical oversight, medication support, staff training, and coordination of healthcare needs for individuals in a residential group home setting.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Setting: Residential group home
Responsibilities:
- Provide medical oversight and support for residential program participants
- Participate in the assessment, planning, and implementation of medical care
- Administer and monitor medications in accordance with physician orders and agency policies
- Train and support direct care staff on medical protocols and procedures
- Monitor medical appointments, follow-up care, and ongoing healthcare needs
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Med/Surg experience
- Experience in residential, group home, OPWDD, behavioral health, or long-term care settings
- OPWDD experience
- Residential group home nursing experience
- Medication administration and staff training experience
- Care coordination and case management experience
