About Hall 1

Hall 1 is a 40-45 bed Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care unit caring for residents with high-acuity, medically complex needs. Our team provides comprehensive nursing care while helping residents achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing to provide safe, compassionate, and individualized resident care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care based on resident assessments and care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
  • Perform focused nursing assessments and document care accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Support residents and families through education and compassionate communication
  • Assist with daily unit operations and serve in a leadership role when needed
  • Promote a positive, team-focused culture while ensuring excellent resident outcomes

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification

Experience

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or sub-acute experience is a plus

Skills

  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Experience with or willingness to learn:
  • Electronic Medical Records
  • IV Pumps
  • Patient monitoring systems
  • Glucose monitoring (Accu-Chek)
  • EKG equipment
  • Specialty bed operation
