A New York-based healthcare organization is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a great Per Diem position at one of their outpatient clinics in Madison County.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Specific date blocks from April to November, with consistency preferred in October and November
Hours: Variable by location
Setting: Outpatient clinics
Responsibilities:
Taking and recording vital signs
Preparing patients for exams
Administering injections and immunizations
Performing venipuncture and lab draws
Conducting EKGs and CLIA-waived testing
Handling specimen collection (urine, throat, etc.)
Assisting with prescription verification
Supporting providers during patient visits
Preparing exam rooms, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies
Participating in daily huddles (schedule + follow-ups)
Ensuring infection control and OSHA compliance
Assisting with patient flow and coordination of care
Qualifications:
Prior LPN experience (clinic or relevant setting preferred)
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
CPR/BLS certification
Experience with injections
Experience with lab draws
Patient-facing clinical work
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Working knowledge of EMR
Experience with MEDENT or Oracle systems
