LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN/LVN)
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, quality care to employees.
- Provide direct first aid care to employees at the site according to the medical directives within the scope of practice and State and National regulations.
- Adhere to health management policies, protocol, medical directives, and physician standing orders according to the scope of the practice.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations including OSHA, Worker's Compensation, etc.
- Adhere to HIPPA compliance of confidentiality of employee's personal medical information
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with departmental staff, complex management, supervisory staff, and local health care providers.
- Must be able to carry, lift and maneuver first aid response bag (weighing between 25-30 lbs), back board, stretcher, AED, wheel chair, and any other medical necessities when responding to an incident.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist in departmental medical record upkeep
- Provide appropriate documentation of all care provided in a professional and effective manner.
- Perform Drug and Alcohol screening for Powered Industrial Truck operators, as requested.
- Conduct annual hearing testing for facility employees.
- Assist in conducting daily restrictive duty checks.
- Must maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Notify Occupational Health Manager and designee of any pertinent physical and emotional changes of symptoms presented.
- Must be flexible with work schedule.
- Assist in the training of new employees, production, and maintenance at all levels in compliance programs.
- Help to perform job duties within the Safety and Occupational Health department as needed.
- Assist in projects as needed within the department.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Degree / GED equivalency required
- Associates Degree of Nursing or Diploma Nursing Degree Required
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Current LVN/LPN license in the state of application
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
