Job Description:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a Medical-Surgical telemetry overflow unit. This unit operates as a flexible care space designed to accommodate emergency department boarder patients, with patient volume varying based on demand. The role involves providing direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Provide care including medication administration (IM, SQ, oral), wound care, and hygiene support
• Perform procedures such as Foley catheter insertion, blood glucose monitoring, and feeding tube care
• Support oxygen therapy and respiratory care (nasal cannula, masks)
• Communicate patient updates using SBAR and verbal reporting
• Document all care in Epic EMR

Requirements:

• Active LPN/LVN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience
• BLS certification (required)
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Strong clinical and communication skills
