Job Description
An ambulatory care health center in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing support in a busy outpatient setting. The role involves delivering care for adult and pediatric patients through clinical procedures, patient screening, documentation, and coordination with the care team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Setting: Ambulatory Care Center
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to assigned adult and pediatric patients under supervision in accordance with established standards and practices
- Complete patient intake, including screening, scheduling support, and visit preparation for clinical appointments
- Perform vital signs, venipuncture, injections, EKGs, and other routine clinical procedures as directed
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care, treatment procedures, documentation, and follow-up activities
- Prepare exam rooms, monitor supplies, maintain a safe and clean environment, and help coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related Nursing experience
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience providing care for both adult and pediatric patients
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
