Position Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at a mission-driven non-profit organization operating federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). In this union position, you'll help ensure healthcare access for all through primary care, behavioral health, and health education services.

Qualifications:
  • Certificate from an accredited practical nurse program.
  • Current NY State LPN license and registration.
  • 1–2 years in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Skilled in venipuncture, medication administration, and immunizations; basic computer proficiency, including typing.
  • Strong clinical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; able to organize care for multiple patients; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications, treatments, and wound care under RN supervision.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress.
  • Assist with care plan implementation and collaborate with RNs, therapists, and physicians.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medications, and recovery goals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, including medication logs and shift reports.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies.
  • Provide emotional support and advocate for patients' needs during recovery.
