About the Role Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated and flexible LPN or RN to join our growing Urology team. Operating entirely within a provider office environment, this role rotates across our three urology practices. You will serve as a vital clinical link between office physicians and patients, performing a wide range of skilled clinical, coordination, and administrative duties to ensure seamless, high-quality outpatient care. Core Responsibilities - Clinical Support: Assist office physicians with specialized urological procedures and perform in-office Point of Care (POC) testing.
- Care Coordination: Manage complex clinic treatment schedules and compile necessary orders, labs, and reports for hospital procedures.
- Patient Communication: Serve as the primary contact for medical concerns, triage patient phone calls, and process prescription refills through the EMR.
- Results Management: Monitor diagnostic test results, communicate findings to patients per physician instructions, and schedule necessary follow-up testing or appointments.
- Compliance: Complete Environment of Care (EOC) rounds and ensure all practice processes maintain strict compliance with regulatory agencies (OSHA, The Joint Commission).
Qualifications For LPN Candidates: - Licensure: Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Experience: 1+ years of direct patient care experience, with 3 years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory setting preferred.
For RN Candidates: - Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a physician’s office or ambulatory clinic setting.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
General Requirements (Both Roles): - Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- Technical Skills: Previous Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, a high degree of flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
