What to Know If You''re New to Private Duty Nursing

• LPNs/LVNs working in hospitals, long-term care, and schools have directly transferable skills and are well-equipped to handle one client in the home
• Private duty = full shifts (8''s, 10''s, or 12''s)
• Private duty = one client for the whole shift
• Private duty nursing is not ''visits''; nurses commute to only one client home per shift
• Private duty skilled nurses at BAYADA choose their own flexible schedule based on client needs
• Private duty nurses work with local clients nearby with short commutes
• Private duty skilled nursing varies in acuity according to nurse skill and training interests: g-tube, trach, vent.

Qualifications for A Private Duty LPN:

• Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
• A current nursing license in good standing in the state

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay range:$38-$42 hourly based on experience and skills
• Flexible scheduling with no minimums (Full-Time or Part-Time)
