Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pediatrics to provide quality nursing care in a pediatric clinical environment. The LPN will support patient care activities, collaborate with the healthcare team, and follow established nursing practices, infection control standards, performance improvement procedures, and delegation principles.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with established clinical practices and procedures.
Assist with patient care activities and support the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Apply infection control principles to maintain a safe and clean clinical environment.
Follow established performance improvement practices and procedures.
Apply appropriate delegation principles when delivering patient care.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient documentation.
Communicate effectively with pediatric patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Follow all applicable facility policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with other nursing duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
Licensure & Certifications
Current New York State LPN License and Registration required.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
Experience & Skills
Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
LPN training experience preferred.
Knowledge of infection control principles required.
Knowledge of performance improvement principles required.
Understanding of appropriate delegation principles.
Strong patient care and clinical support skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a pediatric clinical environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
Additional Information
14-week contract assignment.
Day shift, Monday–Friday.
35 hours per week.
100% onsite position.
