Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Primary Care

An ambulatory care facility is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse in Brooklyn, NY to provide direct patient care in a primary care setting. This role supports a diverse patient population with clinical tasks, patient flow, and routine nursing procedures.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Tuesday, Thursday

• Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

• Setting: Ambulatory Care Center

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care under supervision in accordance with established standards and practices.

• Perform patient screening, including walk-in, telephone, and scheduled appointment intake, and direct patients to the appropriate services.

• Complete vital signs, venipuncture, EKGs, injections, PPD placement and reading, and other routine clinical procedures.

• Assist physicians and medical staff with examinations, treatment procedures, chart preparation, and documentation.

• Support patient flow, follow-up scheduling, equipment and supply monitoring, and maintenance of a safe, clean clinical environment.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) credential required.

• At least 1 year of LPN experience in an ambulatory health facility preferred.

• Pediatric experience required.

• Ability to speak, read, and write English to the extent required by the position.

• Bilingual skills in English/Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Yiddish, or Urdu.
