Position Overview
Somerset Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school nursing team. The LPN will work collaboratively with the school nurse, students, families, and school staff to provide high-quality health services and support a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care and health services to students in accordance with established school health policies and procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as directed and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and respond appropriately to student health needs and medical concerns.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation.
Communicate effectively with the school nurse, families, staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
Assist with the management of students with acute, chronic, and complex health needs.
Respond appropriately to health-related emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Support the implementation of individualized healthcare plans and emergency care plans.
Promote student health, wellness, safety, and independence.
Perform other duties as assigned by the school nurse or administration.
