Responsibilities
- Administer medications and operate pill call.
- Execute physician orders and assist with examinations and treatments.
- Conduct sick call and provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice.
- Monitor, document, and report patient conditions and nursing activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
- Manage medication inventory and medical supplies.
- Perform emergency nursing procedures as needed.
- Ensure proper infection control and sanitation practices.
- Assist with accreditation standards and medical department operations.
- Escort patients to and from medical appointments when required.
- Promote a safe and secure healthcare environment.
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a correctional healthcare environment.
