Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

Department: Clinical/Nursing

Requirements: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current LPN licensure.
• Current/Active CPR Certification (only AHA or ARC are accepted; certification must include cognitive and skills training)
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Compensation: 

• Base Day Rate: $37.96 per hour 
• Base Night Rate: $39.36 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential

Voorhees Pediatric Facility provides a nurturing and home-like atmosphere filled with attentive and dedicated staff. All staff will work collaboratively to support residents with significant medical complexities and potential cognitive impairments. The Licensed Practical Nurse will support holistic care to a medically-fragile community of infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

Under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse, administers nursing care to designated patients as defined by the Department of Nursing policies and procedures, the Nurse Practice Act of the State of New Jersey, and as contained in this job description. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the facility's policies and procedures.

Daily Responsibilities will Include: 

• Providing safe, high-quality nursing care by assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring changes in condition.
• Delivering individualized resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of physician-ordered services.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and clinical best practices.
• Collaborating effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional communication and continuity of care.
• Promoting a safe, professional environment by adhering to infection prevention practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement initiatives

Hours: Full-Time 36 hours/week.
