Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Join University Home Care Inc as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing compassionate and professional in-home nursing care to patients in Westland, MI. Its 16 hours a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients according to physician orders and established care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document all care provided accurately.
• Assist with patient education regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of Michigan.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred, especially in home health or related settings.
• Strong patient assessment and observation skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
