Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday
Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient clinical setting in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment providing direct patient care and clinical support.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care and clinical support
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain patient history and record vital signs
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
• Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures
• Maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and clinical supplies
• Prepare charts and complete clinical documentation
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations
• Utilize EMR systems for patient documentation
• Support daily nursing operations and patient workflow
Requirements:
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Experience in outpatient or acute care setting required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Experience obtaining vital signs and assisting with examinations
• English proficiency required
Preferred:
• EMR experience
• Insurance authorization/referral coordination experience
• Outpatient clinic experience
• BLS (AHA) preferred
