Position: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in New Bedford, MA. The LPN will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician

- Monitor and record patient vital signs and other important information

- Assist with patient assessments and care planning

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment plans

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Adhere to all healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and industry developments

Qualifications:

- Current LPN license in the state of Massachusetts

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an acute care or LTAC experience

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records

- BLS certification is preferred
