Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our client's clinical team. This role provides direct patient care and procedural support across general, surgical, and specialty dermatology services. The LPN works closely with dermatologists, residents, advanced practice providers, and nursing colleagues in a high-volume academic setting.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced LPN (dermatology experience preferred) interested in expanding their clinical skill set within a specialized, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Procedural Support
Assist with dermatologic procedures, including skin biopsies, patch testing, excisions, and minor surgery
Prepare patients and clinical areas for procedures and support post-procedure care
Patient Care & Education
Perform patient intake and assessments
Provide wound care and treatment support
Educate patients on skin conditions, treatment plans, and aftercare instructions
Administrative & Clinical Operations
Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
Manage and maintain clinical equipment and supplies
Qualifications
Required
Active Connecticut Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with minimum of 3 years experience
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Preferred
Prior experience in dermatology, surgery, or specialty outpatient clinics
Experience working in an academic or teaching hospital setting
