Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – OB/GYN

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 10 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support outpatient clinical services within a multi-specialty healthcare setting, including OB/GYN, GI, and Cardiology care.

The LPN will assist with patient care activities, support providers with clinical procedures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role requires strong knowledge of infection control practices, delegation principles, and performance improvement standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing support within outpatient specialty clinic settings including OB/GYN, GI, and Cardiology
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and clinical care activities
  • Perform delegated nursing functions in accordance with scope of practice
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical information accurately
  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies for patient visits
  • Educate patients regarding treatments, procedures, and follow-up instructions as directed
  • Maintain accurate documentation within patient medical records
  • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance enhancement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program required
  • Current New York State LPN license required
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Knowledge of infection control principles required
  • Knowledge of performance improvement principles required
  • Knowledge of delegation principles required
  • Strong communication and patient care skills required

Work Setting
