Compensation
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support outpatient clinical services within a multi-specialty healthcare setting, including OB/GYN, GI, and Cardiology care.
The LPN will assist with patient care activities, support providers with clinical procedures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role requires strong knowledge of infection control practices, delegation principles, and performance improvement standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support within outpatient specialty clinic settings including OB/GYN, GI, and Cardiology
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and clinical care activities
- Perform delegated nursing functions in accordance with scope of practice
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical information accurately
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies for patient visits
- Educate patients regarding treatments, procedures, and follow-up instructions as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation within patient medical records
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
- Participate in quality improvement and performance enhancement initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program required
- Current New York State LPN license required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Knowledge of infection control principles required
- Knowledge of performance improvement principles required
- Knowledge of delegation principles required
- Strong communication and patient care skills required
