Job Description

Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

Straub ophthalmologists, assisted by optometrists and certified ophthalmic technicians, provide a full range of eye care services for children and adults. These professionals are trained in the most up-to-date surgical procedures for treatment of cataracts, corneal disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal disease and orbital disease. Straub offers total eye care complete with one-stop-shopping optical shops, including a full selection of glasses frames, lenses and contact lenses.

As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will help to provide our signature compassionate, high-quality care to patients and their families. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in providing care to patients of all ages in accordance with standards of practice and training for a LPN. We are looking for someone with warm, sensitive patient care and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Pay Range: 32.82 - 34.55 USD per hour

Minimum Qualifications: Must meet education requirements for Hawaii state licensing. Current Hawaii LPN license. Current BLS/HCP card.

Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in area of specialty or successful completion of area specific training program. Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 Coding. Experience with online medical software systems.
