Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll provide hands-on, compassionate care to patients on their path to mental wellness. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to mental health. Together, you’ll create a safe, healing environment where patients feel empowered and hopeful as they move toward recovery. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering medications, monitoring patient status, assisting with ADLs, and supporting therapeutic activities that promote mental well-being 
  • Documenting care, behaviors, and progress clearly and promptly to ensure patient safety and team collaboration 
  • Observing and sharing changes in patients’ mental and physical condition to the care team to help guide treatment 
  • Offering support and education to help patients build coping skills, stay engaged in treatment, and practice self-care 
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide smooth, high-quality care that supports healing and well-being 

What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
    • (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse
