Licensed Practical Nurse (Psychiatry)

Under the nurse managers or designees direction, the nurseprovides professional, skilled, age-specific nursing care for patients in collaboration with physicians and other disciplines. Using professional skills and behaviors promotes comprehensive, cost-effective, and meaningful healthcare for consumers in a diverse healthcare environment. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs nursing, secretarial, and technical-related services for the inpatient behavioral health population. Hourly Pay Rate: $22.19 - $32.73 Qualifications Education: Requires graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse training program. Experience: Prefer at least one (1) year of nursing-related experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Must have the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of ageand licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel members scope of practice. Specialized Training: Must have crisis prevention and intervention training. Certification/Licensure: Requires valid licensure as a Practical Nurse, which is issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center within three months. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Requires excellent communication and time management skills.
