Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Overview

Medical Assistants (MA) and License Practical Nurses (LPN) assist in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the outpatient office setting this might include both clinical and front desk duties.

Compensation

Position starts at $17.00 (MA) per hour, or $20.00 (LPN) however, PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant (MA): graduate of an approved school Medical Assistant (certification preferred) and/or two years' experience in a clinical setting
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse program and licensed or eligible to take state boards.
• Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
• Administering Medication
• Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred
• Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider's direction
• Computer proficient and EMR experience
