THE POSITION

The Licensed Practical Nurse role at South Mountain Restoration Center gives you the chance to make a meaningful difference every day. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position plays an important role in supporting residents in a long term care setting by providing direct care and communication. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Resident Care: Provide daily care including assistance with activities of daily living, skin care, meals, and routine tasks
  • Clinical Support: Record vital signs and resident responses, follow medication policies, and carry out physicians orders accurately
  • Communication: Share important resident information with the nursing team and use clear and respectful communication techniques
  • Safety Practices: Follow infection control steps, use proper equipment, and maintain awareness of safety and security procedures
  • Teamwork: Work under supervision, assist coworkers, and respond to direction in a positive and flexible manner

Work hours and additional information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, 30-minute lunch), or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, no lunch).

  • Rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays.

  • Overtime and travel as needed.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements:

  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
