Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Practical Nurse role is based at Simply Health Wellness & Medical Clinic in West Monroe, LA. The LPN provides direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, performing basic clinical procedures, and assisting with examinations and treatments under the direction of licensed providers. Daily responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, updating and maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating follow-up care, and supporting patient education on treatment plans and wellness strategies. The LPN collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinic staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care, while following all clinical protocols and regulatory guidelines. This role also involves contributing to quality improvement efforts, maintaining infection control standards, and supporting a positive, respectful environment for patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Louisiana, meeting all current regulatory and credentialing requirements.

• Demonstrated clinical skills in basic nursing procedures, medication administration, vital sign assessment, and documentation in an outpatient or clinic setting.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear patient education and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while following established protocols.

• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), infection control, and ethical professional practice.

• Comfort with using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for documentation, scheduling, and communication.

• Previous experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or outpatient clinic settings is preferred but not required.

• CPR/BLS certification and willingness to participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
