The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, administers medications and treatments, monitors patients’ conditions, maintains accurate medical records, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor and record vital signs and patient health information.
Administer medications, injections, and prescribed treatments.
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures as required.
Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and activities of daily living.
Observe patients for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and nursing records.
Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Respond appropriately to patient needs and emergencies.
