Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, or advanced practice providers. The LPN assists with patient assessments, medication administration, clinical procedures, and patient education while delivering compassionate, high-quality care in an outpatient or clinical setting.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and health assessments.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist physicians and providers with examinations, minor procedures, and patient care.
• Perform specimen collection, EKGs, wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes to the supervising RN or provider.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, disease prevention, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and facility policies at all times.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and other clinical support duties as needed.
• Be willing to assist at other clinic locations when additional coverage is needed.
