Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - Family Health

A health services company in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) to join their Family Health team in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day

• Schedule: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 9am to 5pm

• Setting: Ambulatory Care

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision in accordance with established standards and practices
• Perform patient screenings, intake, and appointment support for walk-in, telephone, and scheduled visits
• Complete vital signs, venipuncture, injections, EKGs, and PPD placement and reading for adult and pediatric patients
• Assist physicians and clinical staff with exams, treatment procedures, specimen handling, and documentation
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain patient flow, and help ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinic environment

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
• Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Experience providing care to both Adult and Pediatric patients
• Ability to perform venipuncture, injections, EKGs, and related clinical support duties
• Solid assessment and documentation skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Skills:

• 1 year of Nursing experience in an Ambulatory Health facility
• Bilingual (English and Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Yiddish, or Urdu)
• Experience with Patient Scheduling, Chart Preparation, and Clinical Documentation
