General Summary:
The position may be held by either a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC); with or without a supervisory designation to his or her license. The Therapist must have their bachelor’s degree or higher in mental health related field such as social work, counseling, or psychology. The Therapist must have proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) system. Pediatrics experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
Provides diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and therapy that is developmentally and age appropriate to patients.
Provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families to children, adolescents, and adults within the Therapist's scope of practice.
Utilizes evidence based models of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), when working with patients to provide best practices.
Promotes collaborative relationships within the Fisher-Titus LLC and hospital system.
Makes referrals to the community for additional supportive services and resources as needed with proper consent from patient.
Maintains appropriate documentation of services in EMR.
Performs duties in accordance with the Ohio Administrative Code, Chapter 4757 and the rules of ethics of the appropriate professional association to whom the Therapist should reference for direction and guidance under their licensing and control.
Therapist shall maintain a valid license to perform their duties and attend continuing education to meet these ongoing requirements that are specific to his or her own license and/or specialty scope of practice.
Participates in Behavioral Health team meetings and therapist team meetings.
Participates in community outreach activities such as health fairs, public speaking engagements, educational programs, and other events that may be requested.
