<\/span>The <\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/span>Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)<\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span> will provide Therapeutic Interventions that are <\/span><\/span> <\/span>strengths -based, culturally -competent and individualized. Utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities that engage the family dynamic, while emphasizing Positive Behavioral Support systems. Reducing maladaptive behaviors and building durable and sustainable positive behavioral changes and improvement in quality of life.<\/span>  <\/span><\/span>Working from an individualized treatment support plan, providing definable outcomes and identified strategies for sustained progress.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>

<\/span>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/h2>

• <\/span>Providing individual in -home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions in our outpatient center, perform bio -psycho - social assessments, Etc<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
• <\/span><\/span>Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems. Encourages clients to express their feelings and to discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• Provide coping and social skills, anger management and reduce risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• <\/span><\/span>Collects information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports and updates and submits them in a timely fashion<\/span><\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/li>
• <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory weekly paperwork<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    <\/span> <\/span>Education and Experience:<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/h2>

    • <\/span> Must have Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy or related fields as LPC, Masters is preferred<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Must be available for minimum 5 -10 hours per week during after school hours of 4 -7 pm. This will include weekends. Schedule must be flexible<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience providing positive behavior supports, PECS, social stories, use of visual aids and implementing behavior support plans<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Must have prior experience working with children ages 3 -20 and at least 1 -years of experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/span> Must have Licensure for Licensed position: LPC<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • <\/span> <\/span> <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span> Must pass criminal background check including Finger Printing and TB Testing<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • <\/span> <\/span> <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span> Must have Valid a driver’s license and registered vehicle<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Bilingual is a plus, Spanish is preferred<\/span><\/span>
