Our experienced team is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment where clients can stabilize, build healthy routines, and begin their path toward wellness.Position OverviewConnections Mental Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to provide direct care and clinical support to six (6) clients in a residential mental health treatment setting.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team. This role is responsible for medication administration, client observation, clinical documentation, safety monitoring, and supporting the day-to-day needs of clients within the residential program.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and established protocolsAccurately document medication administration and client information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Observe, monitor, and report changes in client behavior, mental status, symptoms, and overall conditionComplete client intake assessments and required admission documentationConduct routine safety checks and maintain a safe, structured residential environmentSupport clients with daily routines, activities, and adherence to treatment program guidelinesMaintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentationCommunicate client concerns, behavioral changes, and relevant updates to supervisors and members of the interdisciplinary treatment teamFollow facility policies, safety procedures, medication protocols, and applicable regulatory requirementsMaintain appropriate professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality at all timesAssist with light physical and operational tasks as needed to support the residential programQualificationsRequiredPsychiatric Technician experience or equivalent applicable licensureHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to obtain and maintain a current TB test/clearanceAbility to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certificationExperience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and accurate data entryStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment teamStrong attention to detail, organization, and documentationAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform light physical tasks associated with the positionPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a residential mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, or treatment facilityExperience with medication administration and medication documentationExperience supporting clients with mental health and behavioral needsFamiliarity with residential treatment procedures, client safety protocols, and clinical documentation standardsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for a Psychiatric Technician who brings professionalism, consistency, and compassion to client care.
